Gary is a 30 year resident of Troy who is currently a Rensselaer County Legislator representing the City of Troy on the County Government where he has served for the past 5 years. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Human Development from Empire State College. He previously served as Secretary to the Troy City Council. He served as the Co-Chairman of the Col. Albert Pawling Memorial Statue Committee raising over $85,000 of mostly private funds to erect the statue of the first Mayor of Troy who was a Revolutionary War Colonel. He also started the Troy Anti-Violence Initiative, which involved bringing a non-violence group to Troy assisting in bringing solutions to ending the violence. He is currently President of the Hope 7 Board of Directors and serves on the Little Italy Quality of Life Committee. Gary does whatever he can to help Troy become an even better City. That is why he decided to run for Troy City Council President. He believes that we need to work together for an ever better Troy.
